Hi, I’m Danielle McFadden.

Welcome.

I have been working in the social work field for over 15 years and have a diverse background and experience working with individuals, couples, families and groups in a variety of settings, including clinic settings, hospitals, addiction treatment facilities, shelters, in the community, in peoples homes, and virtually through tele-health.

For the past 10 years, I have been working exclusively in the medical rehabilitation field, supporting people that have been impacted by challenging life adjustments, experiencing difficulties with thoughts and emotions, navigating trauma, grief and loss, catastrophic injuries, chronic pain, as well as providing education and support to family members and loved ones in caregiver roles. My experience working as a clinical psychotherapist, and as part of a leadership team, has allowed my advocacy and critical thinking skills to flourish. This background combined with empathy and my desire to support, educate and coach others, has empowered me to take the leap into developing Windswept Wellness. I was born and raised on the shores of Georgian Bay and am proud to call Midland, Ontario my hometown. The four seasons of this region all bring with them unique beauty that I look forward to, and embrace on my journey through life.

I completed my studies at accredited post-secondary institutions in Ontario, including:

  • Laurentian University (B.A.)

  • Georgian College (Addictions: Treatment and Prevention Certificate)

  • Lakehead University (B.S.W.)

  • University of Toronto (M.S.W.)

I am registered, in good standing, with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers, and am a member of the Ontario Association of Social Workers.

As a partner and busy mom of two young kids, I understand that making time for yourself is a challenge. My goal is to work alongside you to make the journey toward enhanced mental wellness simple and comfortable.

I invite you to choose whether a virtual tele-health session or an in-person appointment is best suited for your needs, and together we will build a plan that works.
